
Matt Brewer, DO, FACEP, FAAEM
URGENT CARE MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Matt Brewer is an ABEM board-certified Emergency Physician who is originally from the central coast of California. He went to college at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo where he studied biology with a concentration in human anatomy and physiology. While attending college, Dr. Brewer worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for a local Advanced Life Support ambulance company as well as volunteering for the San Luis Obispo County Search and Rescue which strengthened his drive to become an Emergency Physician.
He earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA and completed his Emergency Medicine residency training at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, PA where he was the assistant medical director for the Hanover Township Fire Department.
Dr. Brewer is a former clinical professor in the Emergency Department for Loma Linda University Medical Center School of Medicine and currently is a clinical professor for University of California Riverside School of Medicine. He has experience working in multiple level 1 trauma centers and is currently working full time at two local emergency departments. He has fellowship status with the American Academy of Emergency Medicine as well as the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Brewer has a particular interest in sideline/ringside medicine and has experience in working with the National Football League Players Association’s annual Collegiate Bowl as well as high school football, professional/amateur boxing and professional/amateur mixed martial arts. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, surfing, fishing, mountain biking and traveling.
